WHO IS YSA ?
Originating in South Jersey in 2002, Socrates Nicolaidis created Youth Soccer Alliance as a collaborative effort by a small group of soccer enthusiasts who shared a fervent passion and vision for the beautiful game. This common vision began to take the form of a teaching philosophy that centered on player development by constructing a pyramid of skill with technical proficiency as the base upon which tactical applications could be supported. YSA training was taught to all levels of learners by creating environments that challenge young soccer players at a developmentally appropriate pace. As a result, YSA teams and students quickly gained a reputation in South Jersey for playing the game beautifully and effectively by having the tactical flexibility to change systems and formations during a game. It also created some of the most gifted players in the region.
Today, Youth Soccer Alliance is recognized as an organization that can elevate the skill level of committed players through extra training that is repetitive and technical but delivered to students through varied routines that retain player interest and enthusiasm for the game. YSA has a proven record of success that spans high school, club, ODP, national team, collegiate and post-collegiate players. YSA staff continues to produce unique and tailored curriculums and training programs through the collaborative efforts of a network which includes senior YSA staff, college coaches and colleagues from the United States and around the world. YSA has produced over eighty student-athletes who reached their collegiate dreams with over 2.5 million dollars in athletic scholarships awarded.
The current YSA staff has trained and / or coached many youth players which became college student-athletes. The following is a list of some of the schools:
