"The Leaders of Youth Player Development in Southern New Jersey"™

South Jersey Youth Soccer Academy

The South Jersey Youth Sosccer Academy (SJYSA) is Youth Soccer Alliance's elite division of player and team development.  The SJYSA program and staff are committed to the player and team on and off the field.  We not only focus on soccer skills, fun and knowledge of the game, but we emphasize self esteem and emotional well-being.

The SJYSA program criteria is based on the following goals and objectives.

  • A minimum of three (3) training sessions p/week with a YSA qualified coach.
  • A minimum of twenty-four (24) sessions with our exercises physiologist during the pre & off seasons which includes a pre and post testing evaluation.
  • GK's will have a minimum of one (1) training session p/week with our GK coach.
  • Position specific small group training included in the program tuition at no extra charge.
  • Five (5) day preseason summer camp included in the program tuition.
  • All winter team training indoors at the Coliseum - minimum of one max two sessions during Jan/Feb.
  • All head coaching assignments at games and tournaments during the year.
  • A stress-free atmosphere that expose players to the game and its challenges.
  • Emphasize technical development with tactical awareness.
  • A competitive yet fun environment that encourages players to flourish while focusing on skill development, creativity and team principals of play.
  • Emphasis on quality and long-term benefits rather than short-term gain.  An age-appropriate development process that stimulates growth and awareness.
  • An educational atmosphere for players and parents concerning club and team values.

While the Academy Program functions in a competitive training atmosphere, competition to win is not the foremost focus at the early age groups of U11-U15.  We urge our coaches and parents to give each player continuous support based upon each individual player's needs.  Parents should expect there to be changes in levels of play as the player(s) mature.
IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THE SOUTH JERSEY YOUTH SOCCER ACADEMY.

Gives the players the opportunity to work with coaches that coach YSA
teams at the elite and select level.

Participating on the Academy Training Program is an experience for YOUR child's development.

Our coaching staff embraces this philosophy.
