This program is designed to develop the VITAL techniques and skills of the game required to master the game and play it at the next level. The curriculum encourages and motivates each player to further enhance their individual ball skills in 1v1 situations. We are also looking to improve game sense and intelligence, build and find strong personalities and enhance the player's character by accepting responsibility during small-sided games ( we don't want players to go hiding in games ).
Speed, agility, fast foot work and change of direction with and without the ball are key exercises that must be practiced regularly.
THE LEARNING PROCESS:
This program is based on the fundamentals of the game but going onto to mastering the vital techniques and skills that are essential to the game of soccer. We have found that it is impossible for young soccer players to learn efficiently and effectively without an age specific curriculum within a structured learning environment that is constantly repeated.
Practice and more practice is the key to mastering all techniques effectively. However we will ensure that all players are constantly encouraged and motivated to be inventive, creative and not afraid to try new things with the ball.
PRINCIPLES & KEY FACTORS WITHIN THE PROGRAM:
1. Development of Excellent Training Habits
Practice is vital to your success
Homework to be given based on work already done.
Attendance and and Punctuality is critical to become the best.
Mental and Physical Toughness-we expect and will demand the highest possible standards of excellence.
2. Format of Sessions
Vital techniques and skills are practiced individually first and without pressure before we apply some form of pressure.
Players then must reproduce those techniques in pressure like game situations in small-sided training activities.
Correct technique comes first before the speed of the technique is executed.
We must become comfortable on the ball and that means we must master the technical part of the game before we attempt the complex part of the game (tactics).
