Dr. Brian Walls B.Sc., DPT, AAAI, USAW
Dr. Walls is the Manager of the Total Soccer Fitness and Conditioning Program. He brings to the soccer pitch more than a dozen years of experience in the development of an athlete’s agility, strength, speed, endurance and addressing rehabilitation. Dr. Walls have worked with individuals and teams providing counseling and oversight in sport performance which encompasses multi-levels of athletes including youth, collegiate, amateur, semi-professional and professional. His focus is the enhancement of human performance and the development of musculoskeletal and neurological systems.
Dr. Walls’ practical experience includes serving as a former strength & conditioning coach at several NCAA institutions; a fitness coach and continuing education consultant; a head strength coach; a physical therapist and as a consultant to Friends Life Care At Home. In addition he is active in academic community as professor and lecturer in various areas of sports performance and since 2007 has served as a Faculty Presenter to the American Association of Athletic Instructors. He also is currently an adjunct professor at Chestnut Hill College and provides certification workshops for fitness instructors within the Greater Philadelphia Area.
Dr. Walls’ practical experience is complemented by his well rounded academic background. He holds a Doctorate, Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology. During this period he was the recipient of the Clinical Performance Award. Previously, Dr. Walls received a Bachelor of Science, Health and Sports Science at Wake Forest University where he was a four year scholarship football player.
Dr. Walls holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), a American Aerobic Association International / International Sports Medicine Association (AAAI) certification, a USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification and a USA Wrestling (USAW) certification. He is also a certified strength coach with National Strength and Conditioning Association membership. In addition, he is a member of the International Sports Medicine Association, the Delaware Valley Black Psychologist Association and the Health and Wellness Practitioners Networking Group.
